Orthodontists not only straighten teeth with braces or Invisalign, but they also modify a patient’s growth to utilize growth potential. In adults who have jaw discrepancies, the orthodontist works closely with the oral surgeon to prepare the patient for surgery of the jaw.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial examination by the age of 7. This way, problems can be addressed before they do irreparable damage. Please see Treatment In Children section.
